Trustee Frank Di Cosola has advocated for Catholic education as a Trustee since 1988, when he was first elected to the Toronto Catholic District School Board, where he served as Trustee for two terms from 1988 to 1994.
In 2003, he was elected Trustee for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board where he was subsequently re-elected for three consecutive terms. Frank’s active participation as Trustee for Caledon/Dufferin County has been demonstrated through his involvement on School Board and community-based committees. Some of these include: Town of Caledon Graffiti Ratification Advisory Committee, Arts Advisory Committee and the Pan Am Hosting Committee.
Over the years, Frank’s leadership has been recognized by the Board of Trustees, which appointed him to serve as Chair and Vice-Chair of various committees, including the Administration and Finance Committee, Faith and Program Committee, Audit Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.
Frank’s experience as a Catholic school Trustee is complimented by his philosophy that “learning is a life long journey at all levels.” He continues to broaden his governance and leadership skills through various courses including the Queen’s University Governance Program, Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Leveraging Leadership, Critical Thinking and Strategic Problem Solving Skills for Leaders, Crucial Conversations, Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADR), Community Advocacy Certificate and the Ministry of Education Governance Program for Catholic School Trustees.
Frank resides in Bolton, Town of Caledon where he has been a resident for over 17 years. Married for over 21 years, and a father of two daughters who attend a local Catholic school, he is also an active parishioner of the Holy Family Parish church.
